What clearance do I need for delivery of a container?
A 40ft container requires approximately 100ft of straight clearance at the drop site for our tilt-bed truck to position and set down the container.
Contact us to discuss your site before ordering.
What does 'wind and watertight' mean?
Wind and watertight (WWT) means the container has been inspected and confirmed to keep out wind and rain. It is suitable for storage but may have cosmetic wear such as surface rust, dents, or faded paint. All containers we sell meet WWT standards at minimum.
How much space does a 20ft or 40 ft container give me?
A 20ft standard container has approximately 1,172 cubic feet of interior space. That is enough to store the contents of a 2 to 3 bedroom home, a full set of farm equipment, or business inventory.
A 40ft standard container has approximately 2,385 cubic feet of interior space. That is the equivalent of two 20ft containers and can hold the contents of a 3 to 5 bedroom home, large farm implements, or significant commercial inventory.
Do I need a permit to place a shipping container on my property?
Permit requirements vary by county and municipality in Iowa or Minnesota. We recommend checking with your local zoning office before ordering. Many rural properties in Northeast Iowa and Southeast Minnesota do not require a permit for a storage container, but regulations differ.
